The inspiration for my high-quality big truck window cover products came from my truck driving experience. I started Driving class 8 Trucks in 1978 in some sweltering climates; Southwest AZ, NV, and CA.
At the time, I was driving a 1972 KW W-900 pulling a flatbed round trip from Phoenix, AZ, to Las Vegas, NV, to reload, then to Southern, CA, and back to Phoenix, AZ. All with no A/C.
I was always trying to find a shady spot to park in, which was almost impossible. Trying to get 8 hours of rest was a nightmare. I would put towels, cardboard, and whatever I could to block out the sun. I was young and healthy and managed to get by, but looking back, I realize there should have been a better way to stay cool and get some privacy.
Eventually, I could afford trucks with A/C and was able to idle at night and get a little more rest, but back then, times were different — fuel was about .80 cents a gallon, and it was cheaper to stay in my truck versus a hotel.
Since then, California has passed anti-idle laws, fuel prices have risen out of control. As a result, in about 2005, I devised a plan to make Vinyl Window Covers for my trucks. My friends noticed I was enjoying comfort and privacy with my vinyl covers, and they wanted a set. Then, their friends, and so on.
